MacTEK Consulting & Training is Southern Nevada's premiere source for Macintosh Computer Support. MacTEK provides cross-platform consulting, training, service and technical support to ad agencies, corporate art departments, non-profits, small to medium sized businesses, and the home user. We have been in business since 1990 and in Las Vegas since 1992. We are now an Apple Authorized Service Provider. This means we can provide warranty repairs and out of warranty repairs on Apple products with genuine Apple parts. Though we are based in Las Vegas, we support clients across the U.S.A. MacTEK is Nevada's Only Apple Authorized Training Center and Adobe Authorized Training Center.

 

Image Doug Hanley was the first consultant in Nevada certified by Apple on OS X. He holds certifications on each version of Mac OS X that are available. ACSA 10.4, ACTC 10.1, ACTC 10.2, ACTC 10.3, 10.4 and ACHDS 10.3, 10.4. Doug is also Xsan 1.1 Certified. He is also an Apple Certified Trainer. He has been supporting users of Apple technology since 1982. Doug is a member of the Apple Consultants Network. He served on the Apple Consultants Network Advisory Council for 3 years.

What Those Acronyms Mean:

Apple Certified Help Desk Specialist (ACHDS)

This certification is ideal for help desk personnel, service technicians, technical coordinators, and others who support Mac OS X customers over the phone or who perform Mac OS X troubleshooting and support in schools and businesses

 

Apple Certified Technical Coordinator (ACTC)

This certification is ideal for Mac OS X technical coordinators and entry-level system administrators who provide technical support to Mac OS X users, as well as maintain the Mac OS X Server platform.

 

Apple Certified System Administrator (ACSA)

This certification is designed for professional system administrators and engineers managing medium-to-large networks of systems utilizing Mac OS X Server and other Apple technologies in complex multiplatform deployments.

 

 

TEK Tips

You can bring up the Application Switcher by pressing the Command Key (Apple Key) and the Tab Key at the same time. Continue to depress the Command Key and every time you hit Tab the Application menu will change to the next Application. When you let go of Command you will then switch to the selected Application.
